EVERYDAY UNIFORMS IMPORTANT WASHING ADVICE
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME:
Soak article in pure cold water for 24 hours (applies to most articles in all natural material, linen, cotton).
Machine wash at 40C or 100F.
As a general rule, washing machines wash best when loaded at 2/3 capacity.
Do not mix white cotton clothes with other colored articles.
Treat individual stains before washing. Further information available on request regarding treatment of stains.
EXTREME caution should be exercised when using bleach. Small doses only may be beneficial. Large doses may drastically reduce the life of the article. And never use vinegar (strong acetic acid).
Our jackets may be washed at up to 60C / 140F. Follow the specific instructions mentioned on the label since fabrics can be 100% cotton or blend cotton/polyester. Laundry net bags are recommended for jackets with snap/metallic buttons.
Dry cleaning possible, any solvent may be used in moderation.
Hot steam iron.
Light starching only, if required at all (excessive starch does not permit the garments to breathe).
SHRINKAGE
All natural products, cotton for example, cannot be totally stabilized. Pre-washed (commonly called pre-shrunk) fabrics almost totally eliminate initial shrinkage. However, one of the major causes of excessive shrinkage is hot fast drying. To better protect your uniform, we suggest that you use a warm drying cycle only.
HINTS ON REMOVING STAINS
The following advice valid for recent stains only.
If possible, treat a hidden part of the article (such as the hem) first, before more general use of the stain remover.
